My eyes are half-way open.
I am exhausted. But so very happy to feel this way.

Yesterday was a different story.
I have been temping at a very nice dental office. A couple days a week. Last week they brought another temp in to help out. Understandable. I am fresh out of school and still unsure of my surroundings. I did a lot of cleaning up after the temp they brought in. I wanted more. I wanted to be in there working with the dentist, the tools. Well, yesterday, I got what I wished for. I was on my own. Just the dentist and I...and the tools. I was a mess. All over the place. Making a lot of stupid mistakes. At the end of the day I was on the verge of tears. I cleaned up as fast as I could and headed out to my car. I cried myself home. I felt like a failure. I didn't understand how I could mess up so bad. I just learned ALL of this in school.

Today was a completely different story.
I woke up at 4am to get ready for work. I got there early and got everything ready. The rest of the staff showed up. First patient comes in. There I am. Just me, the dentist, the tools...and a mouth full of teeth. I am happy to say I was on my game today! Every procedure went smoothly. Today it felt like everything 'clicked' I hope this feeling continues. I know I will still have my 'off' days (specially because I am still a 'new' dental assistant). Hopefully they are few and far between. But today, today I left there with confidence. I am so happy and blessed! Blessed even for the bad days.

I had a good day yesterday..activity wise. I enjoyed a 1 hour Zumba class, a quick 25min run, and strength training (upper body). Ended with 15,000 steps!! I was nice and sore today, at least my arms were. I decided to go for a run. I even tried to eat before hand (hoping this would give me more energy). I found that during my run I felt more sluggish than usual. I found that I run best right when I wake up (no coffee, no breakfast). Anyway, my right knee ended up acting up about 5 minutes into my run. I only completed a mile...not even in good time. It was a terrible run. During the rest of the day I noticed the pain went from my right knee and is now sitting on my left knee. Tomorrow is going to be a rest day, for sure. Will pick up my running again on Thursday.

I have been trying to follow a running schedule that M sent me. I find when I run back to back my knee always acts up. Not sure how to solve this dilema. New running shoes perhaps? Or I will just have to run, strictly, every other day. Either way I am looking forward to Thursdays run. And I have been Oh.So.Hungry. after my runs. I swear I could eat a cow sometimes, lol. The chocolate chip cookies in the cupboard are not helping, either!

I am pretty exhausted tonight. Spent the day doing laundry and fighting off naps. Got a couple "second winds" throughout the day. All is winding down now, so if I do doze off, I won't feel like a lazy bum! I am off to write B an email, shower, and watch The Kind of Queens. I love when B emails me just those short ones that say "I'm thinking of you." Makes my day! Also, I am back at the dental office tomorrow! Feels like I have been away for 6 days. Oh, wait, I have! Goodnight!

Catch you up to speed

*I finished school, almost. Working on my extern and graduation is on July 23rd!!!
*I will be volunteering at a very nice dental office until mid May. I enjoy the whole staff. They are all welcoming and helpful. I really hope I can do my actual extern here!
*My car is holding up OK. It has broken down about 5 times in the past couple months. If I ignore the fact that my windshield wipers always act up, I can honestly say my car is awesome!
*I am running in a relay marathon with a great group of people! The run is at the end of August. I will keep you posted on training & meetings.
*Have recently been addicted to watching documentaries.
*My boyfriend, Bryan, is still in Iraq. :( I miss him tons.

That is all I can think of!

Love!

Welcome, again!

Yes, I moved!

I am already loving it. Keep your eyes open for updates.

Thank you family & friends!
